SEASON 2025-26

We enjoyed a much more settled season than roller coaster 2024-25. Some preliminary highlights include:

• The most welcome sight of retirees Steve and Tom as regular attendees;
• It was Ronzo's 500th game on 7th October - the 4th member to achieve this significant milestone - followed by Squancey's 400th game on 23rd March;
• Part of the Hamersley 10th tee sacrificed to make way for car parking resulting in par rating changes to the 10th and 18th holes and some creative re-indexing by the club;
• Barnstorming winning performances – Macca at the Binningup Open with a 1st round 46 pts at Harvey; Steve at the Mandurah Masters also with a 46 pt final round at Mandurah;
• The superb hospitality by Jeannie and Macca on 9 December and Reggie and Tom for the Christmas breakfast;
• Steve's clever contributions including Bingo at the Mandurah Masters; inducting us as Life Time members into the Old Bastards Golf Club; and the natty ball markers and bag tags;
• Venturing into rarely, if ever, played courses – SoR Day 2 at Kennedy Bay; the Not the Burswood Trophy at The Vines;
• Agreement to split the AGM from the Winter Trophy;
• Reaching a total of 4,608 games played by current club members.

FUTURE EVENTS

Looking ahead, the next two not-to-be-missed GBW events are:

• Annual General Meeting
  Planned for Thursday 23 July at Steve's mansion with a visit to X-Golf in Balcatta thrown in;
• 2026 Binningup Open
  Planned for Monday 9th to Friday 13th November
